Portable type Sterilizing Radiation Integrated Illuminance Meter

High-precision UV illuminance measurements.

During the operation of production equipment, and during experiments for research and development purposes, quantifying and evaluating the levels of UV radiation emitted is of vital importance. Compact and easy to use, UVP254 Σ-01 measures cumulative irradiance and peak irradiance through traceable display values, making it a low-cost and easy-to-implement irradiance meter.

Numerical management of sterilization rays is made easy

While displaying the present UV irradiance levels, it is possible to select between two measurement modes: "accumulated light intensity mode" and "peak irradiance mode."

High levels of accuracy in measurement, thanks to spectral sensitivity characteristics that match the sterilization effect curve.

Compact and easy to operate

A silicon photodiode is used as the light receiving element. The receiver is compact, and powered by a dry cell battery (9V) with a battery check function.

Handling / Usage Precautions

  • Take caution so as not to get the measuring window of the light receiving part dirty. If it becomes dirty, wipe with gauze soaked in alcohol or similar.
  • Be cautious not to apply high voltage (pulse).
  • Avoid use in places subject to frequent vibrations.
  • UV rays can cause damage if eyes or skin are exposed to them – exercise due caution when taking measurements.
  • To maintain performance levels of the illuminance meter, we recommend it is calibrated at least once a year, irrespective of how frequently it is used.
