EB Sterilization
Electron Beam Irradiation Device
We accomplished sterilization treatment by utilizing electron beams.
EB stands for Electron Beam. The electron beam irradiation device using the powerful sterilization feature of electron beam is the EB Sterilization Device. This is a low voltage type EB Sterilization device so it is safe and very easy to use, and is suitable for the single-stream process use which requires high level sterilization.
Characteristics
Accomplished High Level sterilization
The electron beam from the EB Sterilization Device and it can provide high level sterilization.
High Speed High Level Sterilization
Compared to γ rays, the energy emitted per second is approx. 1011 times stronger, so it sterilizes in an instant.
Safe
We adopted a self shield to shut out X rays so it's safe.
Compact and Easy To Use
This compact device has a switch to easily turn on and off the electron beam when you need it. It can also easily be navigated through the graphics on the touch panel.
Room Temperature Treatment
It emits little amounts of heat so it can be used on the objects that may get deformed under heat. It will not heat up the irradiated objects.
Use Examples
Sheet type objects such as film and paper
Caps and containers
Cylindrical containers
Structure

The figure shows a cross section of a vacuum chamber with a radiation shield.
Sterilization Effect of the EB (Electron Beam)
Sterilization case example of the film surface
We observed the sterilization effect of the B. pumilus spores when the PET film is run on the testing device. The result is as follows and we observed a high grade sterilization.
Sterilization case example of the cap
We observed the sterilization effect of the complicated shaped cap with a screw cutting as in the right diagram. The result is as follows. For the objects we couldn't sterilize with the UV lamp, we were able to perform high grade sterilization.
Sterilization case example of the wrapped and chemical-filled syringe surface
By adjusting the intensity of the electron beam, you may sterilize the surface of the already wrapped syringe without affecting the chemical inside.
In the U.S., we have FDA approval and are in use.
