EB (Electron Beam)

EB System and Characteristics

EB is a technology that is highly effective, efficient, safe and easy to use. Here is a list of its advantages.

Environmentally friendly

During the coating or printing process, you can reduce VOC (volatile organic compounds), which causes air pollution.

Instant processing

EB can process instantly compared to UV and heating. Also, EB will not heat the target object quickly.

Our EB units can treat wide objects

Thanks to a wide irradiation width of the curtain method EB, we can accommodate your needs, from compact machines to large machines wider than 2 meters.

High-level safety

With a self-shield structure, it blocks secondary X-rays. There is no need for a qualified person or authorization to use the machine.

Best for surface and outer layer treatment

Because it is low energy EB, it can put intense energy on the target's surface or outer layer. You can select an acceleration voltage depending on the target object. You can select up to 300 kV.

Simple operation

You can easily operate with the touch panel interface.

EB Principle (Explanation on hardware)

The machine accelerates electrons generated in the vacuum chamber at a high voltage. The electrons that are turned into a beam passes through the window foil and are irradiated on the target object in the atmospheric environment. The system diagram displays the overview of our EB unit.

Comparison of EB/UV/Heat

The table below compares EB curing to UV and heat curing of inks and paints. You don't need solvent for EB curing, therefore, instant curing is possible. Adjusting transmission depth and strength of EB is easy. Turning on and off is easy with EB too.
