Location

With more than 80 years of history and tradition, Fukuoka University is one of Western Japan's leading universities, and has vast campus space and many building and facility groups (including a hospital) in the south-west section of Fukuoka Prefecture's Fukuoka City. In April 2015, a new multipurpose sports ground was established on the western side of the rugby field for regularcurriculum sports practice lessons, extracurricular activities including student clubs and groups, and student recreation activities. The brightness for the lighting equipment was set at the general competition level (300ℓx average maintained brightness), while LED lighting was used out of consideration for environmental issues and power savings. High-output LEDioc FLOOD DUELL LED floodlights were installed, with the new night-time lighting equipment leading to reduced power consumption and maintenance savings from a long operating life (40000 hours).
