  • Combinations of 830W LEDioc FLOOD DUELL lights with ultrawide-angle, wide-angle and medium-angle light distribution have been installed, being considerate of the environment while at the same time ensuring a brightness of 300ℓx or more for the infield and 200ℓx or more for the outfield.

  • The baseball field is lit with 830W LEDioc FLOOD DUELL lights, which have a brightness equivalent to 1500W metal halide lights, achieving both power savings and a pleasant night-game lighting environment.

  • A daytime view of the soccer/rugby field.

  • 4-lamp and 2-lamp LEDioc FLOOD DUELL lights have been installed courtside, brightly lighting the court interiors, behind the baselines, and along the sidelines to create a highly uniform lighting environment.

  • The courts are lit with power-saving 560W LEDioc FLOOD DUELL lights, ensuring a maintained average brightness of 200ℓx or more.

  • A daytime view of the 6 artificial-turf tennis courts.

  • The light illuminating the multipurpose sports area comes from LEDioc FLOOD SPOLART lights, which contribute to maintenance savings with LED modules that have a long operating life of 60000 hours.

  • The multipurpose sports area is lit with 210W LEDioc FLOOD SPOLART lights, ensuring a maintained average brightness of 100ℓx or more.

  • A daytime view of the newly established multipurpose sports area, where people can enjoy a variety of sports including futsal, baseball practice, and light exercise.

Osawa Comprehensive Sports Ground is a large comprehensive sports facility located right next to Chofu Airport in Mitaka City. It has a full range of facilities including 2 baseball fields, 1 soccer/rugby field, 6 artificial-turf tennis courts, 2 softball/youth baseball fields, and 2 multipurpose sports areas, and is widely popular as a location that enables the enjoyment of a variety of sports. Furthermore, being next to both Ajinomoto Stadium and Musashinonomori Park, it is used by citizens as a place of rest and relaxation. In the maintenance work carried out this time, night-time lighting equipment was installed for the baseball field (B field), the soccer/rugby field, the tennis courts, and the multipurpose sports areas, expanding the time range for their use. As night-game lighting equipment, LEDioc FLOOD DUELL LED floodlights were installed for the baseball field, rugby field, and tennis courts, while LEDioc FLOOD SPOLART LED floodlights were installed for the multipurpose sports areas, achieving power savings with light from highly efficient, high-power, and long-life LEDs while creating a comfortable night-game lighting environment. Furthermore, after sufficient consideration of the nearby residences and National Astronomical Observatory of Japan's observation environment, a lighting plan suppressing light-leakage into the surrounding area was drafted, and included the LED floodlights using combinations of ultrawide-angle, wide-angle and medium-angle light distribution.
