LED lights harmonize with a space popular as a road that is a symbol of the town

  • With a neat form that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, LEDioc ROAD lights evenly light the area around the station's North Exit traffic circle, where a temporary waiting zone has been established.

  • LEDioc ROAD LED roadlights safely and comfortably illuminate the generous "Popo-Road" pedestrian area (Fujiidera Station North Line Municipal Road), which was secured by widening the footpaths.

  • Custom-made LED lighting fixtures with a simple design that matches the space illuminate the station's north interchange plaza, which is popularly known as "Dera Park".

  • A daytime view of the north exit of Fujiidera Station. The LEDioc ROAD LED roadlights have been given a silver color in order to blend in with the area's modern image.

Location

Fujiidera Station is a station on the Kintetsu Railway's Minami Osaka Line and is a central city station that acts as the entrance to Fujiidera City in Osaka. Fujiidera City carried out renovation work on the Fujiidera Station North Line Municipal Road, with the renovation complete in 2016.

The work involved the relocation of power lines and electric wiring underground, the creation of barrier-free access, and the refurbishment of the station-front plaza area, along with the widening of the footpaths to make them safe, comfortable and user-friendly for pedestrians. For the lighting environment, LEDioc ROAD LED roadlights were used in order to blend in with the area's modern image, alongside custom-made lighting fixtures to harmonize and light the station's north interchange plaza.

After completion of the renovation work, a broad appeal for nicknames was made to create a sense of affection among the citizenry, with the name "Popo-Road" being chosen for the Fujiidera Station North Line Municipal Road, and "Dera Park" for the Fujiidera Station Interchange Plaza. The large shopping center around the station are also being rebuilt, and are due to open during the current financial year, and the hope is that this road, which is expected to contribute to more prosperity for the region, will play a role in the creation of a more attractive townscape.
