Using LED lighting to light a factory interior, achieving large-scale power savings while creating a bright and comfortable lighting environment leading to an improved work environment

  • The factory interior is brightly lit with 214W special-environment LEDioc HIGH-BAY α lights, which are airtight, waterproof, and can handle oil mist and high temperatures (IP65-class protection). This has realized a safer and more efficient work environment.

  • The installed 214W special-environment LEDioc HIGH-BAY α lights.

  • The lighting around the factory has also been changed to LED lighting, including the use of 14W LEDioc LED EYE LAMP lights to light the external company signboard, creating both power savings and a pleasant lighting environment.

Ecowasplant Co., Ltd. is an industrial waste processing facility that mainly deals with the processing of construction waste produced byconstruction sites. It has one of the largest processing capacities in Tokyo's Tama district, and has installed a safe and efficient environment processing system featuring the latest equipment to handle crushing, compression / packing, melting, and machine sorting. Ecowasplant Co., Ltd.is engaged in a variety of environmental initiatives, and as part of its activities to reduce the burden on the environment, it installed LED lighting in August of last year in order to reduce power consumption.The spread of LED lighting has seen its prices drop, and trial calculations indicating even greater cost effectiveness were a major factorin the decision resulting in their installation. After installing special environment LEDioc HIGH-BAY α LED high ceiling lighting fixturesin place of the existing 400W / 700W mercury lamps as lighting to light the factory interior, the results in terms of brightness were strikingly different, with much happy feedback being received from workers. The increased brightness will lead to better safety, and the impression is that worker motivation has increased, which has in turn led to improved work performance. Furthermore, compared to the previous mercury lamps,the new lighting is also expected to mitigate rising factory temperatures in the summer. The lighting around the factory has also been changed to LED lighting, creating a safe and comfortable lighting environment with power-saving LED light.
