Built upon a corporate purpose to "enrich the world through color and function", Musashi Paint Co., Ltd. is a developer and producer of specialist paints, mainly plastic paints, utilized across a variety of applications, including domestic appliances, telecommunications equipment, automotive interiors, and gaming devices. Continuing to expand globally, the Musashi Paint group of companies is proactively developing its business across the three key global markets of Asia, North America and Europe.

The end of mercury vapor lamp production under the Minamata Convention on Mercury which seeks to reduce environmental burdens, and also the desire to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions, all combined to drive the change to LED of all lighting in the administrative areas and production areas in the factory in September 2023. In the plant where the paints are produced, enhanced safety explosion-proof LEDioc EX VONO luminaires have been installed to replace the existing explosion-proof fluorescent luminaires, while enhanced safety explosion-proof LEDioc EX DIO Z2 and also explosion-proof LEDioc EX VELNO have been installed to suit the needs of different areas and zones.

Delivering illuminance levels on a par with enhanced safety explosion proof fluorescent luminaires with less than half the consumption, LEDioc EX VONO can be supplied with diffused cover glass to minimize glare, and the LEDioc CANOPY CUBO high-bay luminaires installed in the cargo sorting area deliver a uniform illuminance. The update to LED lighting has seen site-wide increases in light levels alongside large-scale energy savings, resulting in a bright and safe lighting environment.
