  • The C11 Model No. 207 Steam Locomotive inside the inspection and repair depot. The brightness inside the building has been set for an average of 500ℓx for the inspection and repair area, and 200ℓx for the workshop area.

  • The inspection and repair depot has two lines of tracks, and LEDioc HIGH-BAY α lights installed in the ceiling and custom-made I-beam LED pit-lamps installed in the floor.

Proceeding with its SL operation revival project in the Nikko/Kinugawa area, Tobu Railway has established a new SL inspection and repair depot for the inspection of all kinds of steam locomotives in its Tobu Railway Minami Kurihashi railcar jurisdiction. The inspection and repair depot is maintenance area that includes ceiling cranes from which railway cars can be suspended, along with smoke exhaust hoods for the dispersal of smoke from SL chimneys. LEDioc HIGH-BAY α high ceiling lighting fixtures have been installed for the lighting for the inspection and repair depot interior, while custom-made I-beam LED pit-lamps installed in the floor have been used to light the inside of the SL pits. Light dispersal was taken into account with the LEDioc HIGH-BAY αlights, due to the building's high ceiling, with a combination of mid- and wide-angle lights being installed. The numbers and locations for the custom-made I-beam LED pit-lamps were determined in response to requests from the work-floor, and feature a design that takes into account measures to protect workers from glare. The inspection and repair depot is brightly lit with power-saving LED light, realizing a safe and comfortable work environment.
