Headquartered in Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture, Yamashita Rubber Co., Ltd. is a company specializing principally in the development and production of industrial-use rubber products, resin products and rubber car parts.

Building upon the core concept of "anti-vibration" since the company's founding in 1953, the core products of Yamashita Rubber Co., Ltd. include items such as engine mounts, suspension bushes and dynamic dampers. As a technical partner to numerous leading automotive manufacturers in the supply of rubber components integral to the safety and functionality of vehicles and their smooth, comfortable running, the company now enjoys a global presence with bases located across Asia and North and Central America. Situated in Kamisato Town of Kodama District in Saitama Prefecture, the Saitama Plant is one of the company's key manufacturing sites for all product types; the site is also home to the Research & Development Center, as well as the Technical Center which features the capacity to operate as a Quality Assurance Center.

As part of efforts towards reducing its environmental impact, works were undertaken at the Saitama Plant in October 2021 to update the factory lighting to LED, with explosion-proof high-bay LEDioc EX DIO Z1 luminaires replacing the existing explosion-proof HID light fixtures on a one-for-one basis. Offering a light output equivalent to a 400W mercury vapor lamp through a rated energy consumption of only 42.1W, the luminaires contribute greatly towards large-scale energy savings in addition to helping reduce the maintenance burden thanks to their rated LED module life of 60000 hours. Suitable for use across a broad range of environments - even in high ambient temperatures of 50C° - compact and lightweight LEDioc EX DIO Z1 luminaires with their integrated power units brightly and safely illuminate the factory, contributing towards an improved working environment.
