  • The installed 125W LEDioc LED EYE LAMP SP lights, which contribute to power savings with high efficiency and low power consumption.

  • The practical training building is a 3-story building with the 1st floor being where training related to the chassis and vehicle suspension takes place. 125W LEDioc LED EYE LAMP SP lights light the entire space, creating a bright and comfortable work environment.

  • The 2nd floor is mainly where training on engines and transmissions takes place. The facility and its full range of maintenance equipment is lit with 125W LEDioc LED EYE LAMP SP lights, ensuring a maintained average brightness of 1000ℓx for the entire floor.

  • The training facility worthy of an education in the latest Subaru technology is lit with LED light to create a lighting environment that is comfortable while also suppressing glare, brightness irregularities, and shadows (2nd floor).

  • The 3rd floor, where electrical boards that enable visualization of starter and motor circuitry have been arranged and electrical-related training takes place. LED lighting can be turned on or off instantaneously, enabling their use as required and promoting further power savings.

  • The LED lighting clearly lighting the space contributes to maintenance savings with an operating life of 60000 hours (3rd floor).

Subaru Comprehensive Training Center is a Subaru Corporation educational facility with a full range of facilities including training rooms, discussion rooms, maintenance practical training equipment, and dormitories. The center is the location for various internal training programs aimed at Subaru employees and educational programs for employees of affiliated companies. 2005 saw the establishment of the Subaru Academy, which is responsible for the training of personnel from national and international Subaru agent stores, and it fulfils the role of an educational facility for the entire Subaru Group. In October 2017, the Subaru Corporation carried out work to upgrade the practical training building, which is the facility for educating service mechanics, to LED ceiling lighting, and replaced the existing 97 units of 700W metal halide lamps and shades with an installation of 152 units of 125W LEDioc LED EYE LAMP SP lights. The aim was to seek power savings and establish a bright and comfortable practical training environment, while at the same time also aiming for, through the use of LEDs, the creation of a lighting environment conscious of conservation of the environment. With regulations concerning mercury waste matter becoming stronger and mercury lamps and fluorescent lamps being targeted by regulations, the idea is to promote a lighting plan with a focus on the future by moving forward with an immediate response. The work for the upgrade to LED has increased brightness while achieving power savings, and has also enabled the creation of a lighting environment that contributes to maintenance savings as well. Another point focused on was the ability of the LEDs to be turned on or off instantaneously, which increases user-friendliness and contributes to an improved work environment and further power savings.
