The large capacity AIRLIA POWER which is able to process and sterilize the air in an area of approx. 840m³ per hour, is placed in the check-in lobby area.

AIRLIA PLUS has been placed in the concourse leading to the international arrivals lobby. Incorporating a high-output UV lamp which can be run continuously for 24 hours per day for around one year before needing to be replaced, the units continue to disperse UV purified air around the area.

Situated around 7km south of the city center, Toyama Airport which is affectionately known by its nickname of "Toyama kito-kito* Airport" acts as a gateway to the skies for Toyama. The only airport in Japan to be constructed on a riverbed, it is also the closest international airport to notable sites such as the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route, and the world heritage site of Gokayama amongst others.
With recent circumstances necessitating a heightening of hygiene measures, stringent infectious disease prevention measures have been implemented by Toyama Airport Terminal Buildings Ltd, including the introduction of AIRLIA airflow UV purification systems across various areas of the passenger terminal such as lobbies and waiting areas; the move to improve the air purification measures and create a safer spatial environment has been implemented with the goal of minimizing infection risk. Infection prevention measures across a diverse range of installation locations are catered for, employing AIRLIA COMPACT with its compact design and powerful sterilization capacity, the AIRLIA PLUS with capacity to treat approximately 420m³ of air, and the larger capacity AIRLIA POWER with capacity to treat approximately 840m³ of air. AIRLIA products use an integrated fan to draw in the air surrounding it, using UV rays to remove viruses and bacteria before subsequently releasing processed clean air; they are also highly rated for their design and construction which ensure no leakage of UV rays, meaning the fixture does not pose any risk of harm or ill effects to humans. The units run continually throughout operating hours in passenger areas such as the lobby, working towards the ongoing improvement of the hygienic environment of the airport facilities.
