Location

As the central city of the Seto Inland Sea, the city of Imabari links together the islands of Honshu, Shikoku, and the Geiyo Islands, and it is home to the Imabari International Hotel - a 23-story tower much loved by locals, tourists, and business travelers alike, standing at a height of 101.7 meters and offering panoramic views across the city and the Seto Inland Sea. Conveniently situated just a 15 minute drive to the Shimanami Kaido Route, and 10 minutes by foot to Imabari Castle and Imabari Station, the hotel has enjoyed enduring popularity as one of the largest city hotels on the island of Shikoku since its opening in 1996. Equipped with a wide range of facilities - including a large natural hot spring bath, open-air bath, all-weather heated pool, fitness gym, and shopping mall - the hotel provides an environment where visitors are able to relax and unwind while soaking in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Seto Inland Sea.

In March 2024 lighting renovation works were carried out at the heated indoor pool located on the fourth floor of the hotel, with full color changing LEDioc FLOOD FULL-COLOR 120W type floodlights installed to provide an effective lighting scheme for the open space complete with skylights. Reflections on the water surface of the kaleidoscopic display illuminating the ceiling combine to create a harmonized sense of relaxation, using gentle movements and color gradations to evoke the varying seasonal natural scenery of the Shimanami Kaido area which inspired them.

Designed to deliver a heightened sense of hospitality, and cognizant of a broad demographic range of guests who enjoy the pool facilities, the scheme utilizes calming colors to create a space that can be enjoyed in comfort.
