  • Illuminating the 1620m² arena with LEDioc HIGH-BAY Γ 235W DALI compatible type luminaires, pleasant and low-glare lighting environment has been created.

  • LEDioc HIGH-BAY Γ 235W DALI compatible type in situ.

  • Providing illuminance levels equivalent to 1000W metal halide lamps, 96 units of LEDioc HIGH-BAY Γ 235W provide the lighting for the arena.

  • The ITACS-DS lighting control panel installed in the facilities management room allows for lighting arrangements to adapted and controlled with ease and simplicity.

Location

Located in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, the well-equipped Kakizaki Sports Park features a number of facilities including a multipurpose sports hall, a baseball field, and an artificial turf field. With a plethora of facilities including an arena able to accommodate 2 basketball courts, 3 volleyball courts, 2 tennis courts, or 8 badminton courts, in addition to a multipurpose field, a running track, a climbing wall and a training room, the sports hall which is more commonly known as Kakizaki Dome is widely used and enjoyed across a variety of events and sporting activities.

In March 2021 works were undertaken to upgrade the lighting of the arena to LED, with DALI-compatible LEDioc HIGH-BAY Γ 235W luminaires replacing the existing scheme which mainly comprised 1000W HID lamps on a direct one-for-one basis in the same arrangement and positioning to provide significant energy savings without compromising on light levels.

Furthermore, the luminaires' compatibility with DALI controls allows for them to be individually controlled to realize a variety of lighting schemes and arrangements to adapt to the range of different events activities and events that take place at the arena.
