On a highway at Nonthaburi province of Thailand, the Arunwit Building, the seven-story height office building with modern design, is noticeably outstanding from the surrounding at night. It is owned by Pravit Group which is notable for doing a business of fertilizer and agriculture product. The main materials of the building are aluminum composite panel and glazing wall which are producing a shiny bright effect to the entire building in the daylight. While nighttime, these material are challenging to be illuminated for their reflective and glossiness properties. The main facade lighting design concept is creating a rhythm of light which make the building distinguish from its appearance in daytime and meanwhile hierarchically accenting each particular architectural element of the building.

The Feng shui, a Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding, is also used as a concept of brightness level and light color. Gold and silver color, symbolic of richness and wealth, are chosen to be the main colors of light in the lighting design concept. These colors are represented by warm white light at 3000K and daylight white at 5000K. Considering a harmony of an overall image of these contrast color temperatures, each color temperature is designed to use at different function. Daylight white is eventually floodlighting at a large plane of the building and the main entrance canopy while warm white light is particularly accenting at horizontal elements such as aluminium sun louvers, circular roof top and corniche lines. Hierarchy of brightness level is also concerned in this project.

The brightest level of illumination is specifically designed for a main entrance canopy, which is believed in Feng shui to be the gateway of money and fortune to dominate it from the building behind. Thin shape floodlights with asymmetrical beam are mounting along the canopy beam to light up the canopy to achieve the effect. The second brightness level is uplighting to the circular rooftop with medium beam spotlights evenly arrayed around the cornice. The third is uplighting to the horizontal louvres with a high power linear led bars mounting along the louvre length. The lower power linear led are mounting on corniche line that run around the building through the back. The least brightness is on glazing walls by a medium beam floodlights at 200W. They are far setting back from the building and mounting on a canopy and a fence to eventually illuminate the large plane.
