Showa Park Shin-Yokohama Shinohara Exit No. 1/2 Parking is a large 24-hour parking lot with parking for a total of 162 cars (139 in the No. 1 lot and 23 in the No. 2 lot). It features good traffic access close to Shin-Yokohama station, and is used by many people throughout both day and night.

In July 2018, in conjunction with an expansion of the parking lot, Showa Park installed guidance lights (LED lamps with sensors) to make it easier to find vacant parking spaces by displaying their availability. Installation of guidance lights on the road surface to enable confirmation of the availability of parking spaces in the back from a distance is unusual, and this was Showa Park's first attempt at doing so. In addition, green signs were installed at the entrances to make it easy to understand the locations of entrances/exits and advance-payment machines, and effort was made to create a more pleasant parking-lot experience, including installing equipment facilitating smoother entry and exit.

Floodlights are normally used for the parking-lot lighting, but LEDioc AREA TECHNORAY LED pole lights were used instead, as they can emphasize the scenery in the parking lot and, compared with floodlights, also have a spreading light that can ensure sufficient illumination while keeping the number of light units required under control. The consensus is that instead of using inorganic lighting, a safe and comfortable lighting environment has been created by using light that spreads in all directions to effectively illuminate the parking lot, contributes to power savings and has excellent design.
