Location

Opened November 2022 in Mihara Ward, Sakai City, the large-scale shopping mall Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport SAKAI is the fourth LaLaport mall in the Kansai region and the eighteenth in Japan. Featuring a comprehensive and exciting array of dining, entertainment, and retail brands, the site is designed to offer something for the whole family, across all age groups; another key attraction is the large three story high indoor event space "Fansta XROSS STADIUM", which is equipped to host a variety of events. Equipped with parking for around 3050 vehicles, LaLaport SAKAI lies adjacent to National Route 309 which serves as the primary arterial route connecting the north and south of Osaka; also offering easy access from the Mihara-Kita and Mihara-Minami interchanges of the Hanwa Expressway, it has been bustling with high visitor numbers since its opening.

The exterior parking areas are illuminated with the super-wide beam angle version of compact, lightweight, and easy to install LEDioc FLOOD NEO floodlights in a Cool White color (5000K), delivering a fresh and comfortable light with high levels of uniformity to create a secure and reassuring environment.

At the rooftop level by the entrance to the shopping area, LEDioc CUTLASS signboard luminaires have been used to illuminate the guidance signage. Measuring only 150mm in depth, the slim fixtures maintain a minimal profile on the wall surface whilst producing a highly uniform light, creating a highly visible entrance area and a welcoming setting for customers.
