Miyagi Prefecture Route 235 Araiaramachi Line is a general road in Miyagi Prefecture that runs from Wakabayashi Ward to Aoba Ward in Miyagi Prefecture's Sendai City. Passing in front of Wakabayashi Ward's ward office, the road sees a great deal of both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, making it an area that requires bright lighting from a safety viewpoint. So, with that being the situation, a request for greater brightness was received, and after a detailed inspection of the site covering lighting-pole positions, heights, and other aspects, a proposal for a switch to LED lighting was made. Locations where lighting poles were unable to be built were handled with custom-made power pole combination-mount arms, and a total of 3 units of LEDioc ROAD LED roadlights were used to achieve increased brightness and promote power savings. A higher utilization coefficient has been achieved by focusing light on the road sides, enabling the creation of a pleasant and highly uniform lighting environment, and positive feedback concerning how brighter it has become since the installation has also been received.
