Lighting tennis courts built in preparation for a national tournament with LEDioc TENNISTER lights, creating a good visual environment while suppressing light pollution

  • A total of 48 units of LEDioc TENNISTER lights have been installed for the 6 brown-color hard-courts, using 4-lamp, 2-lamp and single-lamp combinations, ensuring a brightness of 500ℓx, which is the official level.

  • LEDioc TENNISTER lights, which reduce glare and suppress light pollution, have been installed courtside, making for a lighting environment where people can enjoy playing tennis comfortably at night.

  • The paths between courts are brightly lit using LEDioc TENNISTER lights, increasing safety at night.

Location

In Isohara district Park in Isohara-Cho, Kitaibaraki City, a clubhouse and 16 tennis courts, which will be the venue for the soft-tennis at the "Iki-Iki Ibaraki Yume" National Tournament held in 2019 (September 29 - October 2), have been completed.

All 16 of the courts use artificial turf, and night-game lighting has been installed for 6 of them. LEDioc TENNISTER specialist outdoor tennis court LED lighting fixtures were selected for the night-game lighting, and the court surfaces are effectively illuminated while promoting power savings, using light that features excellent light distribution performance that reduces glare and suppresses light-bleed into the surrounding area.

The Kitaibaraki City Isohara district Park Tennis Courts include a parking lot, and are available from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Since their opening, various competitions have already been held and they are also used by a wide range of people, from elementary and junior high-school students to adults.
