Using light from power saving LEDs to safely and brightly light the facility where fire department team members train in order to protect the lives of the citizens
Add to My ListThe Yokohama City Fire Academy is a facility where fire Department members undergo training in order to play a role in the "realization of a city where citizens can reside in greater safety and peace of mind". The premises have roughly 54000m² of space on which a variety of facilities, including school, accommodation, indoor training, and firefighting training buildings, and large and small training areas, are situated. In December of last year, the Yokohama City Fire Academy undertook repair work on its outdoor lighting equipment, upgrading it to LED lighting. For the light for the large training area, the poles and frames for the existing HID lighting was used and 650W LEDioc FLOOD DUELL LED floodlights installed. Location-appropriate LED lighting was also put in place for the outdoor lights for the areas around the various facilities, including LEDioc AREA BRICIA, LEDioc AREA TECHNORAY and LEDioc STREET 20VA LED security-lights, ensuring a brightness equivalent to or greater than that previously offered, while also achieving largescale power savings. Areas where training takes place at night are also brightly lit with LED pole-lights, which has increased safety.
