Location

In March 2023, the Osaka National Highway Office, undertook LED lighting upgrade works on the road lighting of some routes under its jurisdiction within Osaka Prefecture, including National Routes 25, 163, 1, 2, and the Kanzaki Bridge.

These routes constitute an essential network as part of the fundamental social capital structures supporting the industrial and cultural activities of the Kinki Region; as such the Osaka National Highway Office strives to ensure their functionality as they continue to support the economy and everyday life of the region, by undertaking various key works in areas such as traffic safety.

The upgrade of the road lighting to LED which was carried out as part of this process, saw LEDioc ROAD luminaires replacing the existing HID street luminaires. Offering improved protection against dust and water ingress, the high-efficiency, high-output and long life luminaires deliver a safe and bright lit environment along these arterial routes of Osaka Prefecture, whilst also contributing towards energy reduction measures.
