Oil-mist-tolerant LED lighting fixtures light a factory, promoting power savings while helping to create a bright and task-friendly working environment
Add to My ListYamada Manufacturing Co., Ltd. offers to customers parts that have important functions in automobiles, such as oil pumps, water pumps, steering-related parts, and transmission-related parts. Located in Kiryu City in Gunma Prefecture and completed in April 2015, the Kiryu Department No. 1 Factory is an earthquake-proof, flood-proof, and low-carbon factory that operates as a location for the machining of aluminium parts. The lights lighting the factory were initially fluorescent lamps, but their third year coincided with the end of their lifespan, and so a switch to LED was considered. The requirements for the LEDs were the capacity to tolerate oil mist, and a guarantee of brightness for the factory interior with no change to existing installation conditions. An actual trial installation of the lighting fittings was carried out, and after verifying the brightness aspects and oil-mist-tolerance, and the decision was made to install LEDioc MULTILINE Oil-Mist-Tolerant lights, which satisfied the relevant requirements. Brightness simulations showed levels equivalent to those from the lights previously in place, but compared to the previous fluorescent lamps, the factory interior has become brighter after the upgrade to LED lighting, and this has led to an improved workplace environment. There have also been sizable power-saving effects, and the company is extremely satisfied.
