Positioned on a hill overlooking the sparkling emerald green of the East China Sea, the beautiful golf course at PGM Golf Resort Okinawa also enjoys stunning views of the distant Motobu Peninsula and Ie Island. Following remodeling under the guidance of golf professional Isao Aoki, the 27-hole championship course now offers three courses designed to elicit a more strategic approach ('Hibiscus', 'Deigo', and 'Bougainvillea'), and has played host to professional tournaments. Additionally, since 2023 the course has hosted the annual "HEIWA-PGM Charity Golf" mixed pairs match play event, whose stated aim is to make contributions to society through golf. Plans are also now in place for the opening of the "PGM Hotel Resort Okinawa" adjacent to the golf course in 2026. Commencing in August 2024, PGM Golf Resort Okinawa became the first in Okinawa Prefecture to offer night play on its 18-hole Championship Course ('Hibiscus' Course + 'Bougainvillea' Course).

The lighting facilities at the course have been equipped with compact, highly efficient LEDioc FLOOD AVANT class 400 floodlights, delivering high design illuminance levels of 150ℓx-200ℓx at the tees, 50ℓx-70ℓx on the fairways, and 150ℓx-200ℓx on the greens to provide levels of brightness among the best in Japan for night golf, creating a comfortable playing environment where stray shots and the contours of the greens can be seen with greater clarity. With consideration for details and the surrounding landscape, pillars made of imitation wood have been used instead of standard grey concrete pillars. The appeal of night golf is the opportunity to enjoy fantastical illuminated setting that appears different to its daytime guise, and in addition to the beautiful surroundings there is also the benefit of cooler, more comfortable playing temperatures; removing the issue of UV rays from the sun, it is also recommended for those who may be concerned about sunburn. The quiet and calm evening setting can provide the opportunity for new challenges through an improved ability to concentrate, and with play no longer restricted to daytime hours it can also be enjoyed after work.

Since the start of night-time operations, nighttime golfing under LED light has thankfully been very well received by a large number of customers, and on the back of this success, the PGM Group is currently planning for a planned roll-out of also plans to expand its night-time operations across a total of four courses, starting with Ibaraki Prefecture in December 2024, and subsequently Hyogo Prefecture, Hiroshima Prefecture, and Fukuoka Prefecture in March 2025.
