TSUBAKI FRANPING VILLAGE Nagasaki PremiumMatsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture
A gentle lighting scheme for a venue enveloped by nature and geared towards a carefree enjoyment of the great outdoors
Add to My ListOpened April in 2023, TSUBAKI FRANPING VILLAGE Nagasaki Premium is a "franping" facility situated on Fukushima Island, which lies just off the shore of Imari Bay in Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Known as a place of beautiful sunsets, Fukushima Island is blessed with an array of natural beauty, from the Doya Rice Fields to the naturally growing forest of around 50000 Camellia trees; connected by the Fukushima Ohashi Bridge to Imari City in Saga Prefecture and Matsuura City in Nagasaki Prefecture, it is only an hour by car from both Fukuoka and Sasebo, benefitting from convenient transport links. Derived from the combination of the words "frank" and "camping", "franping" is a new approach to camping that has been growing in popularity, where the camping experience is made a more accessible and stress-free one that can be enjoyed with no significant pre-planning required. Offering stunning sea views and an environment in which to enjoy the freshness of the seaside, TSUBAKI FRANPING VILLAGE Nagasaki Premium is equipped with twenty American style large trailer units, making it a facility where visitors can fully embrace and experience the outdoors life with no need for special preparations beforehand. The site is equipped with a variety of facilities catering for young children such as swings on palm trees and a slide, and there is a full program of activities designed to make the most of the natural environment.
The lighting scheme on site is fundamentally based around an incandescent color palette for a relaxed ambiance, with the iconic palm trees at the site entrance highlighted to create a florid display. Mindful of safety and the need to blend in with the surroundings, the LEDioc FLOOD NEO floodlights used in the scheme have been housed within bespoke boxes. The street lighting is provided by unis Flare LED pole lights, which project a sense of vivacity through their elegant form and moderate glow; operating with the Solo Scheduler system which facilitates scheduled dimming and color changing programs, they embellish the space with colored displays that change through the seasons.
Daylight color was selected for the LEDioc FLOOD NEO floodlights illuminating the car park to improve visibility, and by selecting luminaires appropriate to each site and setting in this way, scenes befitting an outdoor resort at one with its natural surroundings have been achieved.
