A scheme to effectively accentuate the color of a bright and vivacious retail space
Add to My ListConnected to the East Gate of Yokohama Station, Sogo Yokohama is a vast department store boasting a retail floor space amongst the largest in Japan, and in February 2024 fashion brand Jocomomola reopened on its 4th floor following a store refresh. Jocomomola, which came from a Spanish phrase taken to mean "How lovely!", is a creative casualwear brand produced by Spanish designer Sybilla, which creates designs awash with wit and invention through its combination of prints, patterns and colors; predominantly made with natural materials, the resulting collection continues to draw the attention of ladies wishing to celebrate their individuality.
The lighting scheme implemented during the store upgrade works is made up of warm white color (3500K) LEDioc LED Universal Downlight fixtures, making use of their wide beam angles to increase vertical place illuminance levels on the walls and deliver a scheme in sync with the image of the brand, for which the use of vivid colors is a key characteristic.
Through a lighting environment designed to feel bright and lively and create a sense of whimsy, the resulting retail space is an inviting one where customers can shop comfortably in a relaxed environment.
