Suttsu Hot Springs "Yubetsu no Yu" in Suttsu-Cho, Hokkaido, is a hot springs spa facility operated by the Suttsu Town. For a low price, patrons can enjoy the large variety of facilities, which includes a huge bathtub, jacuzzi, sauna and many other features in a wide and spacious public bath. Opened in 1995, it also has an outdoor bath, family baths, a salon and snack corner. It has become a palce of rest and relaxation for the town's citizens as well as a popular spot for tourists. So that patrons can feel reassured about using the facilities, Yubetsu no Yu has adopted a comprehensive approach to hygiene management. In addition to its existing silver ion sterilization equipment, in March 2003, it also installed Iwasaki's Running Water UV Sterilization Equipment. This UV sterilization system was chosen because it can be adapted to the quality of the hot springs. The better the hygiene management Yubetsu no Yu can provide means that it can offer its patrons an even greater sense of reassurance and comfort in using the facilities. The system has been well received by patrons since its installation. High praise is being given to the hot spa springs facilities. Patrons can relax and be refreshed in both mind and body with the reassurance that there is no need for concern about Legionella or other harmful bacteria.
