Pathway illuminations coordinated with seasons and time produce a lit environment closely aligned to its environment
Add to My ListEstablished in 1924, Teruya Denki Co., Ltd. is a specialist trading company with a history of 100 years in the sales of electrical materials, controls equipment, and equipment for information and communications. Headquartered in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, the company holds twelve sales offices across the Greater Tokyo Metropolitan Area.
Teruya Denki Co., Ltd. has recently renovated four street luminaires in front of the TE Building which is adjacent to its headquarters in Setagaya Ward, replacing the existing fixtures featuring CERALUX 70W HID lamps, with unis Flare LED pole top luminaires. Mindful of the area in front of the TE Building being one with high footfall, the selected luminaires feature an understated design which allows them to blend into their surroundings; with their low-glare light output also being a feature, the pathway is illuminated in a tasteful and appropriate way that is kind on the eyes.
The installed unis Flare luminaires are equipped with color changing capabilities, and through combining with Solo Scheduler - a scheduling enabled system for controlling brightness levels and color tones - it has been made possible to tailor the lighting to match seasons and time. In addition to setting seasonally matched color temperature schemes of 4000K in the spring, 6000K in the summer, 3000K in the fall and 2100K in the winter, the output levels of the luminaires are also controlled to match different times - from lighting for busy and bustling periods, through to light levels appropriate to lighting for safety and security during late night hours, the resulting scheme provides a lighting ambiance that sits comfortably with its environment.
