An upgrade to LED streetlights/crime-prevention lights achieves large-scale power savings while ensuring safe and worry-free brightness at night

  • The LEDioc AREA GENERO lights have an environmentally conscious design that suppresses light bleed into the surrounding area. They brightly light the streets, increasing safety at night.

  • LEDioc STREET 40VA lights have been installed in addition to the LEDioc AREA TECHNORAY lights, increasing crime-prevention efficacy by creating a lighting environment with no darkness.

  • With benches provided, the green blocks are great for a stroll, and are comfortably lit with LED light.

  • A LEDioc AREA TECHNORAY light turned on. The lights realize a brightness equivalent to streetlights using 250W mercury lamps for a power consumption of 49.9W, achieving power savings of roughly 80% .

Located in the western section of Chiba City, Hanamigawa Apartment Complex is a large-scale suburban residential apartment complex blessed with an abundance of nature. Its spacious premises include 9 blocks (blocks 1-9), which are divided into lots for lease and lots for sale. Blocks 6 and 7 are blocks with residential lots for sale, and with 40 buildings and 1530 residences, form one neighborhood. In order to promote improvements to the environment to enable worry-free living at night, the Hanamigawa Residential Management Association carried out work to change the street lights and crime-prevention lights for blocks 6 and 7 to LED. LEDioc AREA TECHNORAY and LEDioc AREA GENERO LED streetlights and LEDioc STREET 40VA LED crime-prevention lights were installed in place of the existing mercury-lamp streetlights and crime-prevention lights, achieving large-scale reductions in power consumption while also improving on the previous brightness. The LED modules have a long operating life of 60000 hours, which contributes to reductions in maintenance costs, and their light safely and reassuringly lights the streetscape at night.
