  • The central lobby, which has been designed as an airy and open space.

  • The science and technology library, where a bright and invigorating lighting scene has been created through an indirect lighting scheme using LEDioc FLOOD SPOLART floodlights.

  • LED tubes have been installed into existing luminaires in the laboratory, to provide low energy, low maintenance lighting.

  • The aisle with its striking gentle curvature is illuminated with LEDioc EYE LAMP lights on bespoke brackets.

  • A warm ambiance is created along the pathway in front of the open laboratory, using the incandescent glow of LEDioc EYE LAMP lights mounted on bespoke design-centric brackets.

  • LEDioc FLOOD NEO floodlights have been installed to provide indirect lighting around the entrance area.

  • The atrium ceiling of the reception to the library reference room is effectively utilized to provide indirect lighting with the use of LEDioc FLOOD SPOLART floodlights.

Fuelled by a goal of developing new industries through the fusion of IT and manufacturing to deliver updates and upgrades, Technoplaza which is situated in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, is a hub of next-generation manufacturing where developmental support organizations and industrial human resources training organizations in the manufacturing sector and growth industries such as aerospace come together. Jointly established between the Gifu Prefectural Science and Technology Promotion Center and the third sector company "VR Techno Center Inc."; the Technoplaza Main Building is one of the core facilities of the Technoplaza site; it is host to various organizations involved with supporting the development of manufacturing companies, and has come to be a hub of innovations support for next generation manufacturing and engineering. Completed in 1998, the well-equipped building offers a range of facilities which includes a plaza hall, meeting rooms for hire, a technological development room for businesses, and a science and technology library.

In November 2021 improvement works were carried out at the Gifu Prefectural Science and Technology Promotion Center, with the lighting updated to LED. Through a combination of products such as LEDioc FLOOD SPOLART floodlights, LEDioc FLOOD NEO floodlights, and LEDioc EYE LAMP lights with bespoke brackets, decorative lighting schemes in color temperatures tailored to each different setting have been created whilst also delivering energy savings.

Furthermore the lighting scheme was devised to complement the detailing of the design-oriented luminaires whilst also ensuring to stay true to the existing ambiance, with the end result being a bright and comfortable lighting environment.
