Kyoto International Conference Hall (K.I.C.H.)Kyoto City, Kyoto
Reclaimed water recycling system that cares about the environment and reuses water, an exhaustible natural resource
Add to My ListThe Kyoto International Conference Hall(K.I.C.H) is Japan's first national convention center opened in1966. On the site that expands over an area of 156000m², there is also a vast Japanese landscape garden in the go-round style where people can stroll around freely. The man-made crystal-clear Sachigaike pond located within the garden functions as a mediator between the hall buildings and their surrounding nature, and gives a calm and serene atmosphere to the landscape of the conference hall. The Sachigaike pond serves also as a reservoir for emergency water, and because of this reason, Iwasaki's EYE Tep UV System was installed for the pond in 1998.The EYE Tep UV System is a water purification system designed specifically for waterscape facilities, which will enable the use of pond water in case of a disaster.
