about

The Kyoto International Conference Hall(K.I.C.H) is Japan's first national convention center opened in1966. On the site that expands over an area of 156000m², there is also a vast Japanese landscape garden in the go-round style where people can stroll around freely. The man-made crystal-clear Sachigaike pond located within the garden functions as a mediator between the hall buildings and their surrounding nature, and gives a calm and serene atmosphere to the landscape of the conference hall. The Sachigaike pond serves also as a reservoir for emergency water, and because of this reason, Iwasaki's EYE Tep UV System was installed for the pond in 1998.The EYE Tep UV System is a water purification system designed specifically for waterscape facilities, which will enable the use of pond water in case of a disaster.
