Under the light of DALI compatible LED floodlights, a fitting nighttime light scene has been created for this new hub of sporting activity
Add to My ListA legacy project of the 2019 Rugby World Cup which was held in Japan, the Kasai Rugby Sports Park is a facility that was established with the aid of subsidies from the national government. Situated within the Shinsakongawa Water Park which runs along the Shinsakongawa River in Edogawa Ward, the facilities are also used for sports other than rugby, including American Football, Soccer, and Lacrosse amongst others.
Designed as a facility where sports can also be enjoyed in a comfortable environment at night, the artificial turf field measuring 100m x 43m is equipped with a sports lighting scheme comprised of high-efficiency LEDioc FLOOD AVANT floodlights. The scheme is designed to provide an average illuminance level of 200ℓx with uniformity of 0.5 or above, as per the design criteria of the JIS lighting standards for outdoor rugby at athletic category II; with the lighting being mounted at different heights on the north and south sides, much consideration has also gone into the design to ensure the most uniform coverage possible.
Furthermore with a view to making the scheme adaptable to the requirements of different sports, the LEDioc FLOOD AVANT floodlights utilized in the scheme are DALI compatible - their combination with the ITACS-LC Lite lighting control interface resulting in a lighting controls scheme where individual luminaires can be controlled, dimmed and monitored to meet the needs of different situations and scenarios.
