Seisho Bypass is a bypass of National Route 1 that links Oiso Town and Odawara City in Kanagawa Prefecture, with a general toll road operated by Central Nippon Expressways Company Limited, "NEXCO", to its west and beyond the Seisho Ninomiya Interchange.

With safety being the number one priority of NEXCO, renewal works along the Seisho Bypass (Odawara Interchange - Ishibashi Interchange - Odawara West Interchange) including the replacement of the bridge's aging concrete slabs and its expansion devices were concluded in July 2022, aiming to ensure drivers are able to enjoy a reassuring and comfortable driving experience.

At a section of Hayakawa Junction (Oiso Direction- Hakone Direction), lighting improvement works were carried out to change the lighting arrangement from pole mounted luminaires to a low-level installation, with the introduction of LEDioc ROAD low-position illumination. Amongst the benefits and advantages of affixing luminaires at lower heights to positions such as roadside balustrades is that light spillage beyond the road is reduced vis-a-vis pole mounted lighting, as well as making maintenance works in restricted spaces simpler and more convenient thanks to not requiring the use of an aerial work platform.
