Machinaka Square plays host to a variety of events in its spacious area that has a length of 35m, a width of 17m, and a maximum eave height of 12m under its all-weather roof. Its light comes from custom-made LEDioc CEILING HB (type-F) lights that allow dimming control.

Miyakonojo's City Center Core Facility "Mallmall" is a facility complex that Miyakonojo City had been working on establishing in its city center since 2014 and opened in April 2018. It is a complex that will be the core of a bustling central city area, and is equipped with a full range of public facilities including a municipal library, a Future-Creation Station, Machinaka Social Exchange Center, a health center, Prepika Parenting Activity Support Center, a central bus waiting area, Machinaka Square, and a parking lot.
Machinaka Square, in the center of Mallmall, is an all-weather multi-purpose plaza with impressive bright and open space. It is open daily as a place for citizens to relax and also serves as a path connecting the parking lot and library to the city center. The entire 600m² plaza can also be rented as a venue for markets and exhibitions, and it is widely used as a space to create new liveliness in the downtown area by means of various events held throughout the year.
For the lighting to illuminate Machinaka Square, LEDioc CEILING HB (type-F) high ceiling lighting fixtures were installed in the ceiling to ensure an average brightness of 500ℓx, while LEDioc FLOOD NEO LED floodlights were installed as indirect lighting to illuminate the upper ceiling from the pillars on both sides. This design was to ensure 5ℓx to prevent crime and ensure pedestrian safety. Custom specifications enabling light distribution control via a dimmer were used for the LEDioc CEILING HB (type-F) lights, and this enables them to be used for various events.
