With LEDioc FLOOD ZEST, a quality lighting environment is created for the spacious field which the practice range boasts
Add to My ListFeaturing 88 bays across two levels, the Riverside Golf Club is a driving range which boasts a spacious 230 yard outfield with no upper netting. With natural turf laid up to the 120 yard mark, a key feature of the facilities is the authentic feel of the practice environment which is founded on a sense of spaciousness, and is equipped with various facilities including a putting green and practice bunker to help players towards improving their game. Also equipped with a golf studio, a pro shop, and a 150 space car park, the club is open year round, with summer opening hours of 6:00AM to 11:00PM and winter opening hours of 7:00AM to 11:00PM, and is widely enjoyed by golfers not only from the local community, but also many more who play at courses in the surrounding areas.
In March 2021, Riverside Golf Club undertook an update of the lighting of the field area and the tee box bays to LED. Lighting for the outfield is provided by high efficiency, high color-rendering LEDioc FLOOD ZEST LED floodlights, mounted on the roof of the bay area and replacing the existing HID floodlights to create a high-quality lighting environment with ample light travelling the full 230 yards to the end of the range. Lighting for the bay areas is provided by LEDioc MULTILINE waterproof linear LED luminaires, bringing improved levels of light. Additionally, having factored into consideration how the areas immediately in front of the bays had been considered slightly dark prior to the lighting updates, LEDioc FLOOD URBANVIEW Ⅱ floodlights have been installed on the rooftop at a spacing interval of 1 unit per 8 bays to improve light levels in these areas. With the ability of LED lighting to be switched on and off in an instant, the scheme offers an additional benefit in its capacity to be restarted immediately in the event of any temporary outages - such as those resulting from thunderstorms for example.
Following the lighting upgrade works, spending on electricity has been reduced to approximately 1/3 of what it was, and thanks to the reduced demand value (maximum power level) further savings in electricity costs are anticipated. With positive customer feedback noting the improved brightness, the scheme has succeeded in providing both large scale energy savings and a pleasant lighting environment for nighttime play at the same time.
